“I could sell my shoe trees in paper tubes instead of in the boring, square boxes like all of my competitors do.” The “paper tube” adventure began a few years ago over a cup of tea in the kitchen of a good old friend and designer. A simple idea quickly turned into a new passion. But the sourcing and manufacture of such a paper tube turned out to be more complicated than initially thought.

A few thousand paper tubes later and many experiences richer, another coincidence brought fresh momentum. After a 4-week trip to Costa Rica and a photo shoot for the paper tubes, Stefan couldn’t let go of the question: Why weren’t there any high-quality, unprinted tubes on Amazon, eBay or elsewhere?

He pitched the idea to his old companion Demekssa. After two days of thinking it over, Demekssa called Stefan and said: “I’m in – you’re right.” The TubeBoys were born.

The official launch of "betubed packaging GmbH" took place in spring 2019.

Since then, not only Stefan and Demekssa, but a whole team of experts in design, packaging, sustainability, social media and retail have been working on beautiful and eco-friendly paper tubes.

With creative minds, technical know-how and a lot of passion, unique cardboard packaging solutions are created that leave a lasting impression.
